Wall Art: Gods Gift by Paul Leasure

Print Highlights

This was originally created for a Hospice charity fund-raiser, this work overflows with symbolism. The small child's feet slipped into adult size flip-flops represent the array of feelings one experiences when loss is too overwhelming to deal with alone. The kind open hand offers this much needed help. Like a father who lovingly supports little the child's hand, Hospice offers that security while allowing the toddler to let go, when it's ready. The butterfly represents the freedom that can be found in time, when you can let go. The ocean which is mystifying to us humans, with its unexplored places and beauty symbolizes the unknown of our future. Water gently washes our souls with dear the memories the ones who have been here before us, those of which are depicted by the seashells mixed into the rocks.
